Sunshine Pack & Ship started in the early 1990's in Bradenton, Florida. Not long after its first retail center was opened, the company expanded into a niche not previously serviced, the large and/or valuable items shipped by freight carriers. In 2003, the company began an aggressive growth strategy through franchising. By mid-2006, Sunshine Pack & Ship had grown to over 20 locations. In the summer of 2006, Jack Lentz, founder and CEO of Annex Brands, Inc. realized the value of a combining the company's network of PostalAnnex+ retail locations with the expertise in freight shipping from Sunshine Pack & Ship which not only operated retail centers, but full-service moving operations and logistics centers as well. These locations provided crating and shipping of large and valuable items with freight carriers. As a result, on September 1, 2006, Sunshine Pack & Ship joined the 300+ unit PostalAnnex+ brand as part of the Annex Brands national network.
