Sunshine Pack & Ship opened its first retail center in the 1990's in Bradenton, Florida. The company then started to primarily focus on shipping large and valuable items from major freight carriers. 

In 2003, more locations were opened up through the growth strategy of franchising. 

In 2006, the CEO of Annex Brands, Jack Lentz, saw the value in combining PostalAnnex+ retail stores with the freight services of Sunshine Pack & Ship. These locations now provided both the shipping and crating of larger items as well as comparing shipping rates between major shipping carriers for regular items. 

Because of this, on September 1, 2006, Sunshine Pack & Ship became a franchise brand under Annex Brands, Inc. national network.
